Council on Adolescents of Catawba County

Description

The Coucil provides educational activities for students through the local school systems and the community on the topics of substance abuse, sex education, teen pregnancy prevention and like skills. All classes are taught by health educators and follow best practice models.

The Council also provides adult educational opportunities through Lunch and Learns. Lunch-n-Learn is an opportunity for parents and community leaders to learn about issues concerning teens.

The Council also has the longest running teen council in the area. Basically our teen-council is an opportunity for area teens to interact with their peers and learn about leadership and service learning through community service.
