Meadowedge Art for Children provides visual art classea and workshops to 4-13 year old children and interested adults in a rural community who otherwise do not have access to such a varied and customizable program.
Meadowedge is located in a large private home with 3 large studios with access to an outdoor setting and swimming pool ( in summer). We offer workshops during the school year to school and homeschool groups, and customize the program to their needs. For instance, if a teacher would like to enhance a science or social studies curriculum with an art project,Meadowedge works closely with her to create the best activity for her class or group.
Meadowedge holds after schoolart classes for groups of 10-12 individual children for 3 sememsters. At the core of the Meadowedge program is a sequence by which children enjoy a variety of sensorial (aural, tactile, visual, literary and motion based ) experiences based on a broad theme of interest, such as fantasy, natural objects, nightime, water, etc.
During the summer months, Meadowedge offer week long art and swimming workshops to groups of 10-20 individual children.
