Mission Statement

We are South Florida’s pioneering Hiphop education organization. We teach the history, philosophy and 4 main artistic elements (DJing, MCing, B-boy/girling, Urban Art) of Hip Hop, while challenging the negative stereotypes and destructive behaviors often associated with the culture.

PATH uses Hiphop culture and education to advance scholarship (academic achievement), service-learning, leadership and entrepreneurship in underserved communities. Through Hiphop, we inspire, educate and entertain.

Description

The PATH Hip Hop Summer Academy is presented by Miami Light Project. Youth from all over South Florida learn Hip Hop skills and knowledge from professional Hip Hop artists, participate in a service-learning project (PATH to Service Challenge) and have an unforgettable summer!
