Mission Statement

The mission of the Robert F. Kennedy Children's Action Corps is to provide at-risk children and youth a safe environment where they can develop self-esteem and become productive members of society.

Description

As one of Massachusetts' most well respected child-welfare AND juvenile justice agencies, we provide a variety of services specially tailored to help youth who are vulnerable and in need. Through residential counseling, therapy, and a solid educational program, we serve approximately 900 at-risk and high-risk youth annually.

These youth come from across Massachusetts. Our ten residential programs, including three licensed schools and eight community-based preventive programs, provide a safe haven for children who come from unstable, often unsafe, home environments.

The Robert F. Kennedy Children's Action Corps (RFK Children's Action Corps) seeks to realize its mission through two major goals where we seek to (1) Ensure that every child for whom we have care and responsibility has a clear and positive self image, and (2) Ensure that every child engaged in our programming is provided with the skills and attitudes necessary to become a productive member of society.
