Mission Statement
It is the mission of Cobb Senior Services to improve the quality of life for our senior citizens through innovative programs and state of the art facilities that meet their levels of need. Our primary goal is to assist our clients in their efforts to remain independent through affordable transportation, nutrition, recreation, education, socialization and in home services. Cobb Senior Services is committed to its role as the catalyst for senior advocacy, volunteerism and information resources for our elder population.

Description

Cobb Senior Services (CSS) was first organized in 1972 and became a part of Cobb County government in 1984. Since that time it has grown to become one of the leading county-based senior agencies in Georgia. With the support of the Board of Commissioner's, CSS is able to provide an array of services which include the operation of nine senior centers: a senior day center, two combination multipurpose/neighborhood (nutrition) senior centers, two neighborhood (nutrition) senior centers and four multipurpose senior centers.

Other services include: Information & Referral, Case Management, Home Delivered Meals, In Home Services (Personal Care & Homemaker), Transportation, Volunteer Services, the Senior-To-Senior Advocacy Program, the Share -the-Care Voucher Program for Caregivers, the Transportation Voucher Program, health & wellness programs, computer training, travel programs, Senior Citizen Council, educational programs, a senior citizen newspaper "The Bulletin", and numerous recreation, social and leisure programs.
