Main Street Partners' mission is to empower, improve, and support the urban small businesses that create jobs and provide financial security to families in low-income areas. Main Street Partners does this by recruiting a corps of young professional volunteers from top organizations like McKinsey, Digitas, and Bain Capital, and partnering teams of these best in class volunteers with urban small business owners, to provide tailored assistance in strategy, marketing, finance, and more. Over the last two years, teams of Main Street Partners volunteers have generated dramatic improvements to small businesses in some of the most economically-distressed urban areas, creating an average growth in revenue of over 50%. By connecting some of America's best young talent with hard working small business owners, Main Street Partners is working to rebuild America's Main Streets one business at a time.
Main Street Partners is a nonprofit that seeks to create jobs and improve local inner-city economies by providing small businesses with the resources and human capital necessary to dramatically improve their business.
Main Street Partners was formed by a group of professionals from several of America’s top consulting firms who decided it was time for small businesses to have access to the same minds, research and methodologies that Fortune 500 corporations use to ensure their organizational success.
Main Street Partners consultants come from top business strategy consulting firms, including McKinsey and Bain, top finance institutes, including State Street and Putnam Investments, and have received MBAs from top business schools, including Harvard Business School and the MIT Sloan School of Management. Together they form Project Teams to collectively leverage their experiences, training and education to help small businesses succeed.
