The North Face Endurance Challenge

Hello! My name is Angela Rabena and I am the volunteer coordinator for The North Face Endurance Challenge. The North Face Endurance Challenge has been held in the Northern Va area for the past 7 years. It will take place this year on June 7th and 8th in the Algonkian Regional Park, Great Falls Park and the Potomac Heritage Trail. It is a series of seven world class events ranging from a 50 mile run to a 5K. (Yes, 50 miles!) I am seeking volunteers to help make this event a success--MANY volunteers. I would love to have adults (military personnel, athletic groups, reservists) interested in supporting and cheering on these athletes and teens (scouts, athletic and other youth groups) in need of community service hours to help out on race day. Businesses or groups interested in promoting themselves are able to man an aid station with their company marketing materials (banner, t-shirts, promo materials) during their volunteer time at the race. Positions include registration, packet pick up, race course marshal, shuttle driver, festival operations crew and many more. Volunteer benefits include a The North Face crew shirt, lunch on race day, and the huge satisfaction of helping athlete’s achieve their goals and a really fun and inspiring day!
