Mission Statement

CASACA's mission is to: (i) educate our members and the general public about aging and the needs of individuals receiving long term care services; (ii) improve the quality of social and activity programming offered in long term facilities; and (iii) promote involvement of the youth of the Greater Austin area with individuals residing in long term care facilities through a variety of intergenerational quality of life programs.

Description

This year over 500 adult residents from Central Texas nursing homes will prove that getting older doesn't mean giving up on life, living, or competition. They will compete in the 2014 Games for Life, a series of Olympic-style events that test their physical, mental, and creative skills. Teams will compete in volleyball, racing, dominoes, spelling, and more. This incredible event is the 32nd in Austin.
