Mission Statement

OPS facilitates recovery from the harms of prostitution through survivor-centered, trauma-informed services that empower our participants and community to heal from, and end, this system of gender-based violence.

Description

OPS was founded to empower and assist individuals in or out of the life of prostitution and help create opportunities for healing through supportive services including weekly drop-in, survivor-led support group, and art workshops.

Through peer mentoring and empowerment-based advocacy, OPS walks alongside survivors as they identify their needs. We support a compassionate, non-judgmental environment where survivors can engage in partnership about their experiences to strengthen self-acceptance, growth, and healing.

I've been on the board of this nonprofit for almost 5 years now. As you can see from my contact history, after speaking with board members in early April 2014, I was voted onto the board in May 2014. I will be rotating off the board in June 2019 for other nonprofit focuses. Reach out to me for more information about this board.
