Mission Statement

POMC makes the difference through on-going emotional support, education, prevention, advocacy, and awareness.

To provide support and assistance to all survivors of homicide victims while working to create a world free of murder.

Description

That National Organization of POMC provides on-going emotional support needed to help parents and other survivors facilitate the reconstruction of a "new life" after being criminally victimized.

The National Organization of POMC is a volunteer-driven 501 (c) (3) charitable organization created by survivors for survivors. Local chapters like the Ventura County California Chapter are organized in cities across America. The Ventura County Chapter helps family members and friends of crime victims' deal with their acute grief while providing support and assistance in understanding and navigating the criminal justice system. Through personal support, the POMC volunteers empower survivors to get through the most trying events in their lives by providing on-going emotional support.

POMC Ventura County Chapter is committed to re-educating our community and to working together so fewer and fewer children are murdered and fewer and fewer lives are left shattered.
