I've been volunteering with the Garden Project at their Resource Center since the summer of 2012 and will continue to do so because I enjoy the friends I've made by volunteering, knowing I'm making a difference in people's lives, helping people to eat healthier and have enough food to eat. This is an excellent program that gives lower income people the tools and resources they need to grow their own healthy food. The program needs lots of volunteers to help staff the Resource Center from April to July and also needs volunteers to sort seeds during the winter months among other projects.
