Mission Statement

The Providence Health & Services, Senior Outreach Programs offer services to those 50 years old and older in conjunction with the Providence Health System and other community resources, to help utilize inner resources, to maximize potential, to improve quality of life, and to avoid premature institutionalization or hospitalization.

Description

The Volunteers for Seniors program, which is one of the programs under Providence Senior Outreach, provides many valuable services for frail home-bound seniors in our community who have no other resources by providing access to medical care, help to maintain independence in the home which enhances or maintains their quality of life. The services provided are: transportation to medical appointments, shopping for groceries, running errands, and/or friendly visiting.
