Mission Statement

The Kingsbury Center, an independent, non-profit educational institution, is committed to helping children and adults achieve their learning potential. Founded in 1938, the Center takes pride in its long tradition of leadership in meeting the needs of those with learning problems and specific learning disabilities.

The Kingsbury Center's professional staff offers a comprehensive program of services tailored to the needs of individuals and groups in the Washington region. Services to individuals focus on expert assessment, tutoring, therapy, consultation, and advocacy. As part of the Center, the Kingsbury Day School is a school for children with learning disabilities providing individualized diagnostic instruction and group activites.
