The American Cancer Society is the nationwide community-based volunteer health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem, saving lives and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy, and service.

Description

The American Cancer Society is people. People like you and me with a common goal of fighting cancer. It's an army of thousands of dedicated volunteers, supported by an equally dedicated professional staff. That Volunteer/Staff Partnership is a very special relationship. As a volunteer driven, grassroots organization, the ACS is composed of volunteers and staff at every level. It is only through that partnership that we can accomplish our goals. You are our strength. I have been volunteering with them since July 2016 and enjoy the people and work I do.
