Mission Statement

While providing hot, nutritious meals for seniors and for individuals unable to prepare their own meals, it is the mission of Longmont Meals on Wheels to serve our community by seeking to:
- Promote client health through good nutrition and social interaction
- Facilitate independence
- Expand the reach of our program through responsible stewardship and effective communication
- Foster a sense of community with our clients, volunteers and neighbors

Description

Since 1969, Longmont Meals on Wheels has been dedicated to serving those who cannot serve themselves. Longmont Meals on Wheels is truly a volunteer driven agency. We have been able to supply this service by the help of a volunteer board and more than 400 volunteers. Longmont Meals on Wheels primary focus is to provide hot nutritious meals to the older community, which in turn helps them, maintain their independence, health and dignity. Longmont Meals on Wheels provides this service without any state or federal funding thanks to the continued support of the community.
