Mission Statement
Our mission at The Bronson-Mulholland House is to inspire curiousity about local historical, natural, and cultural resources, and to encourage stewardship and preservation for these resources.
Description
Built in 1854 by a staunch abolitionist, The Bronson-Mulholland House today serves a dual purpose - as a public museum as well as a private event venue. It is fully furnished with antique furniture and decor, mostly of the Victorian Era. Very few homes of this age and this size still exist in Florida, and it is a shining example of Greek Revival architecture. It has been everything from a private home, to a school for formerly enslaved people, to an eleven room apartment building. The cast of owners through the years have even more fascinating stories to tell.
