Mission Statement

The Hemophilia Association of San Diego County (HASDC) is a volunteer driven, nonprofit health agency working towards the improvement of health care, supporting research, providing social, financial and educational services for people with hemophilia, von Willebrand’s disease and other blood clotting disorders.

Description

What is Hemophilia: Hemophilia is a genetic bleeding disorder in which proteins responsible for normal blood clotting are either dangerously low or nonexistent. The average annual cost of caring for a person with severe hemophilia is over $200,000, which makes access to support services and outreach crucial for those affected. HASDC is the only nonprofit organization in San Diego assisting families affected by genetic bleeding disorders.

Corporate Information: The Hemophilia Association of San Diego County is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization providing education, advocacy and support services for individuals, families and children affected by genetic bleeding and clotting disorders - such as hemophilia and von Willebrands disease throughout San Diego and Imperial Counties.
