Description
What is Hemophilia: Hemophilia is a genetic bleeding disorder in which proteins responsible for normal blood clotting are either dangerously low or nonexistent. The average annual cost of caring for a person with severe hemophilia is over $200,000, which makes access to support services and outreach crucial for those affected. HASDC is the only nonprofit organization in San Diego assisting families affected by genetic bleeding disorders.
Corporate Information: The Hemophilia Association of San Diego County is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization providing education, advocacy and support services for individuals, families and children affected by genetic bleeding and clotting disorders - such as hemophilia and von Willebrands disease throughout San Diego and Imperial Counties.
