Perspectives Debate Incorporated

Description

Perspectives is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting high school debate in the greater Philadelphia and mid-Atlantic region. We engage in four principal projects. First, we hold a week-long summer debate institute to train students on the fundamentals of debate. Second, we provide financial assistance to encourage schools and students to participate in debate. Third, we offer mentorship between current and former debaters. Fourth, we provide educational outreach to Philadelphia high schools interested in after school debate programming including free volunteer coaches and a city-wide debate tournament.

Perspectives seeks to promote the opportunities to give voice to their beliefs and learn how to express them in an effective and persuasive manner. With a communal culture between members of the organization, we seek volunteers and staff to form bonds between each other and their students to promote education and debate.
