New Mexico Children's Foundation was founded to provide assistance to small, not for profit groups throughout New mexico that focus on innovative programs for youth. This assistance is provided through grants to children's organizations with small operating budgets of $300,000 or less.

Description

New Mexico Children's Foundation is unusual; it is a visionary, grassroots organization that funds small non-profit children's organizations ranging from start-ups with strong mission statements - to growing organizations with special needs programs identified to serve particular segments of the state's population of youth. Children served through the foundation's funding come in all shapes, sizes and ethnicities. The foundation's core belief is that most children have a wide range of under-served needs; the foundation's goal is to provide meaningful grants to serve as many as those needs as possible. Since its inception in 1992, New Mexico Children's Foundation has provided more than $500,000 in funding to 160 organizations in 25 communities throughout the state of New Mexico.
