Mission Statement

Since 1960, the Potter's House has created a space of hospitality in Washington DC. It's a bookstore, restaurant, art gallery, performance venue and meeting space. All ages, races, incomes, creeds, sexes and orientations are welcome here. Potter's House is regularly used as a community meeting space (by churches, political groups, recovery groups, schools, and artists).



Description

Sounds of Hope is good food, good music, for a good cause. On Friday nights since 2002 musicians and other performance artists have entertained here to raise money for their favorite charity. Volunteers help with set up, serving and clean up and receive free dinner and dessert for their time.
