Mission Statement

The Dallas County Iowa MRC will provide an organized way for medical and non-medical volunteers to offer their skills and expertise during local public health crises and throughout the year. A key component of the use of the MRC is to have readily trained and available, locally-based volunteers prepare for and assist during large-scale emergencies and disasters.

Description

Dallas County Iowa Medical Reserve Corps was established in July of 2011. Dallas County Public Health Nursing Service saw the need for a ready group of volunteers that could be called upon in the case of a public health emergency and proceeded to complete the steps to become a recognized Medical Reserve Corps through the Division of Civilian Volunteers within the United States Federal Government.
