Description
The Monarch School of New England, a leader in special education, began as a volunteer playgroup in 1968. With 35 years of innovation and experience, it has become a unique, comprehensive year-round school for students with severe physical and developmental disabilities.
Formerly known as the Child Development Center, the organizatioin was founded on the belief that all children can develop to their full potential given the right training and support. In three decades of diligent effort and innovative thinking, the Monarch School of New England has become one of the region's most comprehensive educational and therapeutic environments for students with severe physical, medical and developmental disabilities.
Over the years, we have inspired the confidence of hundreds of families who hae entrusted their childrn to us. Today, we serve 35 students with a staff of 65 teachers, therapists, and nurses. Students come to the Monarch School from towns in southeastern New Hampshire and southern Maine.
