Mission Statement

To assist members of the community in educating themselves and enhancing their personal, business, and social well-being through the use of library resources and services.

Description

The Boise Public Library provides library materials and reference services to residents of the City of Boise and members of the Lynx Library Consortium. Computer access is available to all members of the public. A variety of programs are presented for both youth and adult audiences.

The Boise Public Library consists of a downtown Main Library, a branch at the Towne Square Mall, and new branches scheduled to open in the fall of 2007. Additional areas of the city are served by the Bookmobile. Individuals unable to come to the library due to illness, disability or age are brought materials by Homebound Services.
