The Silicon Valley Music Festival aims to enrich and enhance the musical and cultural life of the Silicon Valley communities by expanding cultural awareness and deepening music appreciation. Silicon Valley is a national leader in business technology, and innovation. We seek to bring the same vitality and entrepreneurial spirit to the musical life of the region. We strive to produce concerts of all genres of music that are accessible to a broad audience, both musically and financially, culminating in our ultimate goal to become a catalyst for musical ingenuity.

Description

The Silicon Valley Music Festival is a week-long music festival and musical education program based in San Jose, California. Founded in 2011 by flutist, Ray Furuta, SVMF is dedicated to artistic excellence, innovation, and the broadening of musical perspectives in Silicon Valley and around the world. The summer productions feature a captivating series of concerts of all genres, a roster of internationally acclaimed musicians, public masterclasses, pre-concert lectures, interactive outreach performances, and a chamber music institute and fellowship program for aspiring young musicians.
