Mission Statement

1. Our primary goal is to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home as many needy dachshunds as we possibly can so that they will never again know pain, abuse, neglect, starvation or abandonment. 2. We will continue to search out for, and provide, temporary foster homes and permanent new homes for our rescued dachshunds that will provide a safe and nurturing home environment where the dogs will live indoors.

3. It is our most basic policy to ensure that no dachshund shall be adopted out that is not spayed, neutered, current on shots, heart worm negative, fecal tested and treated for parasites, and any other possible health concerns that are identified.

4. We will provide information and education to the public on the responsible ownership of the dachshund breed, health issues associated with the breed, and the importance of encouraging sterilization practices.

5. We shall, at all times, display courtesy, respect and fellowship towards all volunteers in appreciation of the valuable services and support that they provide to rescued dogs both before and after they are adopted.

6. We shall, at all times, dedicate ourselves to promoting enhanced teamwork among all rescuers in the State of Texas, and beyond, for the best interest of the dogs.
