Working with community agencies, our system of service delivery will provide education, life skills, employment, recreation and social development opportunities intended to help youth become succesful adults.

Description

Los Angeles Youth Opportunity Movement, aims to increase high school graduation rates and the number of seniors going on to college. I, as well as the rest of the Watts Staff, motivate youth residing in the west side community of South Gate, Watts, and Boyle Heights, to choose positive alternatives to gang involvement, roaming the streets, peer pressure, and other negative habits by providing them with case management services, internships, college trips, workshops, a wide variety of cultural and recreational services, and supportive services such as college advising, mentoring, and tutoring.
