New Styles of Environmental Conservation via Gender Equity

New Styles of Environmental Conservation via Gender Equity is a non profit non governmental organization working in Uganda/East Africa since 2008 with its major project of New Styles Secondar School. It has also other projects and programs it is running.

Its objectives are : To sensitize the community about gender and environmental conservation. To increase awareness among community men and women on the need for gender equity in environmental conservation. To publish literature and documentaries for reading and viewing in an attempt to overcoming the gender insensitive environmental conservation initiatives. To advocate for the rights of individuals especially girls and women who principally are victims of gender insensitive environmental conservation initiatives. To preserve the natural environment. To promote true African natural environment. To provide guidance and counseling to the victims of environmental conservation especially the women. To reduce abuse of the girl child and women in particular among communities affected by gender insensitive environmental conservation initiatives. To empower the community take action deemed redemptive from the effects of environmental conservation. To open up an avenue for the victims of environmental conservation victims, i.e. setup radio programs/station. To assist the victims in initiating strategic projects like micro-finance units. To provide free formal and informal education to destitute children from households affected by environmental conservation initiatives in the field of environmental conservation. To carry out open air meetings, conference and seminars on gender equity in environmental conservation.
