Description

The Office of Visitor Services (OVS) seeks to broaden the public's knowledge, appreciation and enjoyment of the Smithsonian and to facilitate and promote participation in its programs and activities. As the principal contact point for information about the Smithsonian, OVS carries out this work through the Smithsonian Information Center ; response services for telephone and mail inquiries; outdoor wayfinding stations; and volunteer programs, which provide primary support for the Smithsonian's public information activities and for staff project assistance behind the scenes.
