Mission Statement

The mission of Rotary is to support its members in fulfilling the Object of Rotary by:



* Fostering unity among members;
* Strengthening and expanding Rotary around the world;
* Communicating worldwide the work of Rotary; and
* Build service within the community, state and world.

Description

Serving our local, national and international communities since 1955.The following history of the Rotary Club of North Phoenix is provided by Dick Kemp. The year 1955 was a memorable one! A civil war started in Vietnam; segregation in all public facilities was unconstitutional; the AFL-CIO merged; Reader's Digest advertised for the first time in 33 years; Ann Landers began giving advice; the Brooklyn Dodgers won the World Series over the Yanks 4-3; Col. Sanders began Kentucky Fried Chicken; Richard J. Dailey became Mayor of Chicago; and Disneyland opened in Anaheim, California. And, On August 16, 1955, the ROTARY CLUB OF NORTH PHOENIX was chartered as the second Rotary Club in Phoenix.
