Mission Statement

The Wisconsin Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Association mission statement (1987): To act as a clearinghouse for CFS information, assist patients and their families, encourage communication among agencies, institutions, and concerned individuals and promote research on the cause, cure, and ultimate prevention of chronic fatigue syndrome.

Description

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is not about being tired. The head to toe symptoms are disabling to include severe weakness, cognitive problems, exhaustion, sleep disorder, pain and autonomic nervous system irregularities. Current projects: -Establish an Information co - op for CFS using online resources to distribute information to those not online, in financial distress and in homeless shelters. Will be posted 05/01/07 www.wicfs-me.org - Establish case intervention services for those in need in Wisconsin which is phase one of creating a diagnostic clinic for people with disabling unexpained neuroimmune symptoms. -Maintain current infrastructure with newsletter 4 times a year, membership base an office management.
