Mission Statement

Thomas Edison High School empowers students with learning differences to experience academic success and personal growth, while preparing them for the future.

We are the only private high school in Oregon specifically designed to meet the needs of students with complex learning disabilities and attention deficit disorder issues. Though it's rare that one of our students' only learning challenge is ADD, we have found ADD to be a significant component in a diagnosis that could also include Dyslexia, Auditory Processing Disorders, Nonverbal Learning Disorders or Visual Perception Disorders. No two students are exactly alike, so customized approaches to learning is our normal mode of operation.

Thomas Edison does not discriminate on the basis of sex, race, religion, color, sexual orientation, or national and ethnic origin in the hiring of staff, administration of educational policies, student admissions, financial aid or other school-related programs. Thomas A. Edison High School is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Description

On March 3, 2007 we will be holding our annual auction.

The purpose of our annual auction is to raise money for financial aid, allowing us to accept students who otherwise would not be able to attend.

Proceeds also help to fund professional development for our teachers and other programs for the students that Edison cannot provide through traditional revenue sources.

The school has awarded $150,000 in financial aid for the '05-'06 school year. The school will award over $190,000 for the '06-'07 school year.
