Muscular Dystrophy Association

Description

MDA is a voluntary health agency whose goal is to cure neuromuscular disease. We fund over 400 research grants world wide, provide free, monthly clinics, a week long summer camp, and we assist with the purchase and repairs of wheelchairs, leg braces and communication devices.

Locally, we serve over 1200 families in Oregon. These families get to take advantage of our clinics which are held at Sarcred Heart Medical Center in Eugene, Providence Medical Center in Medford and OHSU in Portland. Children between the ages of 6 and 21 get to attend camp at either Camp Arrah Wanna in Welches, OR or Camp Christian in Lane County, OR.
