Mission Statement
14+ Foundation is a NYC-based non-profit co-founded by Joseph Mizzi and Nchimunya Wulf in 2012 whose mission is to develop, build and operate schools and orphanages for children in Africa.
Description
Our first project is the Chipakata Children's Academy in Zambia, Africa which is being designed and developed by 14+ Foundation. The project is currently under construction, and we will operate the school once it's completed. The first phase of this project includes a classroom building for 125 students as well as multiple teachers' housing units. This school will serve the local community whose children are currently walking close to 5 miles each way to the nearest public school. We will open in January 2015 to the community and the program will include daily meals for the children. In addition to the above, to date we have obtained over 200 acres of land; created over 7 KM of roads including a bridge; and have installed a community grinding mill, retail shop and several water wells.
