Mission Statement
Our Charity exists to save lives and improve patient outcomes by way of rapid response to trauma and medical emergencies, and by any other appropriate means provided free of charge, whenever and wherever there is a need, with our two Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS), and through providing an emergency helicopter transfer service for critically ill children and babies.
Description
Aware currently provides an education programme to secondary school students called Beat the Blues as well as a different programme called Life Skills which trains people how to manage mild to moderate depression or anxiety, based on principles of cognitive behavioural therapy. Support services include support groups (nationwide and online); a local Helpline and email support service.
