At Winyah Community Hospice Care, we believe hospice is a concept of care designed to enhance the quality of life and preserve the dignity of individuals with limited life expectancy. The hospice team consists of physicians, nurses, nursing assistants, social workers, chaplains, and volunteers. The focus of the hospice team is to address the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the terminally ill patient while providing a network of support for caregivers and family. Hospice is founded on the principle that death is a natural part of life and on the belief that quality of life is just as important as quantity.
