Crossroad Health Center

Description

Since 1992, Crossroad Health Center has been providing comprehensive, primary healthcare services within Cincinnati's inner-city for adults and children -- 80% of whom live at less than the poverty level. Crossroad strives to provide excellent healthcare that treats the whole person -- mind, body and spirit -- regardless of a person's ability to pay for services. The Center's ultimate vision is for individuals within the community to take responsibility for their own health. In 2011, Crossroad made primary healthcare services available to over 6,500 patients (18,000 patient visits). Approximately 25% of patients are uninsured. A bi-lingual staff provides culturally appropriate services to Spanish speaking patients. Services include immunizations, yearly health exams, management of acute and chronic health problems, pre-natal care, podiatry and mental health services. In December 2009, CHC opened a second location - Crossroad Pediatrics West - serving the pediatric population of Cincinnati’s west side.
