Mission Statement

The mission of the Trenton Free Public Library is to provide the citizens of Trenton with information resources along with programs and activities that meet and anticipate the educational, cultural, social and recreational needs of the community. The Library has a special responsibility to conserve, preserve, and make accessible the records of Trenton ’s rich historical past. The Library is able to meet these needs through a strategic five branch system, the dedication of its employees, a modern computer network, and a collection of books and audio visual materials that are tailored to its constituents.

Description

The Trenton Free Public Library seeks to engage the talents, skills and commitment of volunteers to serve the communities' information and literacy needs. Libraries offer a variety of opportunities to make a meaningful contribution to library programs, operations, fundraising events and other community engagement functions. Volunteers have opportunities to lead projects, work with teams of staff and volunteers, learn new skills, and have fun.
