Mission Statement

Rock the Earth is a not-for-profit, national public interest environmental organization dedicated to protecting and defending America's natural resources through partnerships with the music industry and the world-wide environmental community. We act as advocates to ensure the existence of a sustainable and healthy environment for all and represent those individuals and communities whose environment or natural surroundings are directly and adversely affected by others.

Description

Rock the Earth has a presence at many musical and environmental events around the country. We set up tables at events with trained volunteers who do outreach and education and also sign up new members. RtE has worked with many musicians and bands such as Bonnie Raitt, Dave Matthews Band, Jack Johnson, String Cheese Incident. Bands as well as their fans know they can come to RtE with a particular issue and we will review it to see if it's something we can help with.

RtE has a team of legal professionals as well as technical writers and environmental engineers/professionals who can submit comment letters to government agencies on behalf of communities who cannot afford legal support.
