To enable adults and youth to improve their reading, writing, comprehension and math skills and to empower them to achieve success at home, work, school, and in the community.

Description

Oceanside READS provides free tutoring services to individuals who live or work in the city of Oceanside, CA. We focus on instruction in reading and writing, but also provide assistance with math skills of all levels.

We offer programs for children and adults. Volunteers from the community staff both programs. No formal experience is required, and our center provides training and materials.

We are committed to providing services to children and adults with disabilities, and to serving individuals who cannot afford private tutoring.

Our center also seeks to broaden community awareness of literacy and diversity issues.
