Description

ARTS-Us is a community-based 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1992 by a group of African American artists, and multicultural educators.

Using the experience of the African American culture at its core and collaborating with artist, educators, and communities of other backgrounds and cultures, ARTS-Us offers "edutainment" programs to schools, business and community environments. ARTS-Us offers workshops, cultural performances, art and art resources for educators, students, community business and civic organizations.

The work of ARTS-Us nurtures a supportive and enriched environment for east metro area youth -- particularly for those of African descent - by combining academic, enrichment, cultural, and recreational activities to guide learning and engage youth. The programs provide opportunities for exposure, instruction, mentoring and service learning in a rich range of African Diaspora arts & culture.
