Mission Statement

The Vine Intervention has formalized a successful networking and referral intervention program bridging the gap between churches, local non-profits,governmental agencies and the people who need them. The overall mission of our organization is to provide information, referral and networking assistance to help people negate the maze of community agencies. The organization was developed in response to the overwhelming need to bridge the gap between individuals and families in crisis with local community services. Many families were finding themselves in need of social services yet lacked knowledge about the services/eligibility of programs available to them.

Description

The Vine Intervention's referral service isprovided by Volunteer CM's (case managers). Once the Volunteer CM receives a telephone call from a prospective client they do an initial assessment of what the individual/ family needs are and then proceed to find resources that can meet the need based upon the circumstances and situation. All referrals are conducted over the phone the client rarely must come into the office unless there is a reasonable suspicion of fraud or identity falsification. Currently The Vine Intervention has built a good working relationship with community agencies and is able to verify account information, past due amounts and negotiate lesser "amounts due" by phone, e-mail and fax.
