Many times caregivers feel isolated, unprepared, in-experienced and exhausted. The Caregivers Connections exists because caregivers need help and should never feel alone. When an unexpected illness or injury occurs no one is prepared for the changes in their lives. There are approximately 236,000 families in central Indiana who are caring for their ill loved ones at home (CICOA, 2013). Sadly, 68% of caregivers pass away before their ill loved one due to chronic extreme stress and their inability to take care of themselves (Alzheimer’s Association).

Many times caregivers think that caring for their ill loved one is more important than caring for themselves and they don’t consider where their love one would be without them. Through the Resource and Relaxation (R&R) Mobile Support Center we offer caregivers respite, support and quality time for themselves at a convenient location
