Mission Statement

The Child Creativity Lab's mission is to foster the next generation of critical thinkers, problem solvers, innovators, and leaders through hands-on creativity-enhancing exploration. Today’s children become tomorrow’s visionaries.

Description

The Child Creativity Lab offers educational programs that focus on creativity-enhancing stimulation and inspiration in alignment and in support of overarching California State Department of Education initiatives for pre-Kindergarten through 8th graders. These science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM) based programs are facilitated at the Child Creativity Lab Depot for Creative Reuse Center in Santa Ana and directly on-site at schools, after-school programs, libraries, community events, faith-based organizations, and more via our outreach program.

Great place to volunteer! The staff are super friendly and considerate. The workplace itself is pretty amazing as well. You get to work with kids as well as working on the crafts.

This was a great volunteering experience! The concept of the Child Creativity Lab and the STEM based challenges is fantastic and really promotes creativity, challenges out-of-the-box thinking, and healthy self-concept in the children. Peter was really good with the kids, prompt in all of his responses, and great to work with. I loved working with the kids and would definitely recommend it -a great organization to support!

This was probably one of my most fun volunteer experiences. We used found objects and the kids came up with different things to make out of them. My job was to help them construct their visions with a hot glue gun. The kids really enjoyed it and I loved helping them bring their visions to life. Volunteer with this organization! You will have a great time.
