Footsteps Child Care, Inc. provides infants, children, youth, and their families, quality programs in a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment, through caring and professional staff and family involvement.

Description

Footsteps Child Care, Inc. operates nine programs; seven licensed, in San Mateo County, most onsite at Belmont-Redwood Shores Schools, two off-site programs administered through the City of Belmont Parks & Recreation Department, and one located in Redwood City. One program includes Infants and Toddlers, four programs are for Preschool children, and five programs serve children in grades K-9. We are a private, non-profit corporation governed by an Executive Board of Directors comprised of parents and guardians. Footsteps Child Care, Inc. offers safe, supervised, quality care, designed to meet the developmental and social needs of the children and youth enrolled.

Our Internal Fee Subsidy Program provides nearly $20,000 per month in fee subsidies formore than 50 qualifying families at all of our program sites. Without tuition assistance, these families would not be able to afford care otherwise. We have been able to provide help to all qualifying families, but requests for fee subsidies continue to increase, as more families need tuition assistance.
