Mission Statement

TO EDUCATE THE GENERAL PUBLIC ON THE SUBJECT OF BALLET AND INCREASE THE APPRECIATION OF BALLET TO PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES AND SCHOLARSHIPS TO BALLET STUDENTS WHO MIGHT OTHERWISE NOT HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS ART FORM

Description

The Ventura County Ballet Company (VCBC) was established in 1998 as the non-profit in-residence performance company of Ballet Academy Ventura (BAV), a prestigious youth-based dance school founded in 1992 by Kathleen Noblin. The magic onstage masks the hard work behind, as Ventura County’s best young dancers rehearse and perform alongside seasoned professionals, refining their technique and cultivating artistic expression. Ms. Noblin’s vision is to create the highest caliber ballet performances possible, both to delight and thrill audiences, but more importantly to provide her students with experience in the production and performance of professional ballet.
