Mission Statement

Carnaval San Francisco is an event under the umbrella Non-Profit organization Brava to promote the various cultures in the Mission District and San Francisco through the annual Carnaval Festival and Parade.

Description

Carnaval San Francisco is a beloved 3-day event featuring a Grand Parade and 2-day Festival, celebrating music and cultural elements from Latin American and Caribbean traditions. It takes place May 23-25th.

This is the 36th year for this event. Carnaval San Francisco has been an opportunity for many cultures to come together in one spirit to share their creative expression. It starts with Carnaval San Francisco at the SF Giants Orange Friday. Then a FREE 2-day family festival in San Francisco’s Mission District over Memorial Day weekend, May 24th and & May 25th, where we will showcase the very best Latin American and Caribbean cultural arts and traditions. Carnaval San Francisco is the largest multi-cultural celebration on the West Coast.
