Mission Statement

Within our presently very limited financial means, we are now building our In-House Program, designed to:-

fully inform the public on the dangers of aneurysm rupture and the healthcare options available, especially for high-surgical-risk men, women and children with high-rupture-risk aneurysms. We will be publishing various FFARR Factsheets on aneurysm medicine, surgery and screening (due Summer 2007) and will be going on a Pacific Coast Aneurysm Awareness Concerto-Thon Bus Tour this summer. We already help set up patient support groups;

identify, encourage and assist scientists and clinicians to find new -- preferably interdisciplinary -- ways to predict and prevent aneurysm rupture. We are now starting to organise interdisciplinary international brainstorming meetings which will push the boundaries of scientific interaction between engineering, physics, biochemistry, surgery, radiology, genetics, pharmacology and other relevant disciplines. We have already set up some appropriate interdisciplinary databases and the Global Aneurysm Network™.
