Mission Statement

The Mid Valley Family YMCA is an association of people of all ages, ethnic groups, and religious affiliations, who are united in a common effort to put Judeo-Christian principles into practice and to enrich the quality of spiritual, mental, physical, and social life for their families, their communities, and themselves.

Description

Since 1945, the Mid Valley Family YMCA has been building strong kids, strong families, and strong communities through programs that emphasize positive character building. In addition to the many health and wellness, recreational, arts, and sports activities for the youth, teens, adults, and families in the mid San Fernando Valley area, the Y offers preschool, after-school and off-track child care for youth, a family nutrition and exercise program aimed at battling childhood obesity, overnight and day camping, community events and seminars, swim lessons, aquatics and other programs for seniors, and social activities.
