Mission Statement
The Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp provides excellence in outdoor experiences to individuals with disabilities, educational opportunities for students pursuing human service careers and facilitates personal growth and inclusion of all participants.
Description
Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp provides a complete outdoor program for persons with more challenging levels of disability who may not be currently served by other camps. It serves persons with various abilities (cognitive, physical, emotional, autism) who range in age from nine to adulthood. The summer consists of eight one-week sessions, operating from mid-June to mid-August, filled with adventure course activities, horseback riding, canoeing, fishing, swimming, arts & crafts, hiking, music, dancing, campfires, skits, and much more.
