Description

Outward Bound Wilderness offers more than 500 wilderness courses throughout the year that emphasize personal growth through challenge and experience. For over 45 years, our adventures have focused on inspiring responsibility, teamwork, confidence, compassion, and environmental and community stewardship.

From scaling wind-swept mountain peaks to riding a surging river, wilderness expeditions range in length from 4 days to 3 months and are offered across the U.S. and beyond. Over 6,000 teens, adults and families that attend Outward Bound Wilderness every year choose from a variety of activities including sailing, backpacking, mountaineering, rock climbing, whitewater rafting, dog sledding, snowboarding, kayaking and canoeing.
